Assembly talk @ Elias Park and Yang Zheng Primary (Jul)

Ms Chai Chew Yee, SH (Student Leadership), in Elias Park Priinary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 09 Jul.

On 09 Jul, Earth Society team reached Elias Park Primary at 11.15 am. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for the P1 to P6 students from 11.30 am to 12 pm. We presented on how Global Warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). The students and teachers listened attentively to the talk.



Ms Annie Tay, Senior Teacher in Yang Zheng Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 22 Jul.

On 22 Jul, Earth Society team reached Yang Zheng Primary at 12.25 pm. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for the P1 to P6 students from 12.40 pm to 1.15 pm. Students and teachers listened attentively to the talk. After the talk, Ms Annie Tay helped us to compile some feedbacks from the teachers and email us the feedbacks.

Booth at EarthFest @ Plaza Singapura (Jun)


Ms Sumita Thiagarajan, Executive Director of Center for Responsible Future (previously known as “Vegetarian Society”), invited Earth Society to set up an educational booth at their EarthFest @ Plaza Singapura event from 28 Jun to 30 Jun.

EarthFest @ Plaza Singapura was a week-long festival dedicated to all things sustainable with workshops and activities taking place during the week finishing off with a market place and stalls from Friday to Sunday from 11am to 8 pm. The organizer invited NGOs such as ACRES, WWF, Animal Allies, PM Haze etc to set up booths during the event.

On 28 Jun, Earth Society team arrived at Plaza Singapura at 11 pm. We set up and man a booth from 11 am to 8 pm. At our booth, we showed a short video clip on Climate change and displayed a ‘GHG & Water usage’ Board. The shoppers who visited our booth learnt about the amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emitted to produce certain types of food as they read the Board. We also distributed Eco-leaflets to shoppers who passed by our booth and spoke to those who were interested in protecting the environment.


One funny incident that happened during the event was that a running ‘Dinosaur’ (called “The Last Living Dinosaur’ ) visited the booths on 29 Jun. The Dinosaur requested the people to protect the Earth to avoid the Extinction of the Human race !!   

Earth Society team supported the event on 28 Jun, 29 Jun and 30 Jun. There are a lot of shoppers in Plaza Singapura as it is located in the Central of Singapore. We reached out to many shoppers and many people signed up on our email list to receive more info on Climate change.

GW talk @ NUS Staff Club (Jun)

Dr Tony Jin, CEO and Co-founder of BestTop Consulting Pte Ltd, invited Earth Society to conduct a classroom talk for a group of Chinese university students majoring in Environmental engineering on 22 Jun. The talk was held at NUS Staff Club in National University of Singapore.

On 22 Jun, Earth Society team reached NUS Staff Club at 1.45 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 15 Shanghai Polytechnic University (上海第二工业大学) students and teachers from 2 pm to 3.15 pm. We presented on how Global Warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). The students listened attentively to the talk and came forward to provide some feedback after the talk.

Company talks @ Takeda and Bollore Logistics (Jun)

Mr Samuel Tan, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) intern in Takeda, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 10 Jun.

On 10 Jun, Earth Society team reached Takeda Singapore Manufacturing Plant at 11.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 20 staffs from 12 pm to 1 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage. The staffs listened attentively to the talk.



Ms Agnes Chopin, CSR and Employee Engagement intern in Bollore Logistics, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 24 Jun.

On 24 Jun, Earth Society team reached Bollore Logisitics at 11.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 25 staffs from 12 pm to 1 pm. At the end of the talk, many staffs came forward to provide feedback for the talk. Bollore Logisitics catered vegetarian lunch for their staffs during this event.

Company talks @ Point72 Asia and Yamato Transport (May)

Ms Norica Ng, Office Manager in Point72 Asia Pte Ltd, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 08 May.

On 08 May, Earth Society team reached Point72 Asia at 11.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 20 staffs from 12 pm to 12.30 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage. The staffs listened attentively to the talk.


Mr Teng Tai Heng, an Executive in Yamato Transport,
invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 31 May. This is the 2nd year Yamato Transport invited us to speak to their staffs.

On 31 May, Earth Society team reached Yamato Transport at 10.45 am. Mr Ethan Thorpe, an 11th grade student at the Singapore American School, volunteered with us for this talk. 

We conducted an Environment Conservation talk for 30 staffs from 11 am to 12 pm.

We presented on Overfishing in our Oceans, Deforestation on our Land, Green House Gas emissions in our Atmosphere, Loss in Biodiversity and Factory farming. We also touched on issues such as No Shark fin, reduce Factory farming, Veggie days and Land conservation.

At the end of the talk, many staffs came forward to provide some feedback for the talk.

GW talk @ Riverside Primary (May)

Mr Shahnaz, Teacher-in-charge of G-Cube Club in Riverside Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct a classroom talk for the G-Cube Club students on 22 May.

On 22 May, Earth Society team reached Riverside Primary at 2 pm. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for 40 G-Cube Club students from 2.15 pm to 3.30 pm. We presented on how Global Warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). The students listened attentively and participated actively in the Quiz at the end of the talk.

GW talks at Raffles Student-Care Centers (May)


In May, Earth Society was invited by various Raffles Student Care centers in Hougang and Sengang to conduct Global Warming talks for their students. The student population attending the talks range from 50 students to 150 students.

We conducted the talks in the following Raffles Student Care centers:

We conduct a 40 mins talk and a 10 mins Quiz for the students in each of the centers. Students listened attentively and participated actively in the quiz after the talk.

Assembly talk at Presbyterian High and Chung Cheng High (Apr)

Mr Lester Wee, Subject Head (National Education) in Presbyterian High, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort and set up a booth during the students’ recess on 26 Apr.

On 26 Apr, Earth Society team reached Presbyterian High at 11.25 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for Sec 1 to Sec 5 students from 11.40 am to 12.30 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). Students and teachers listened attentively to the talk.

After the talk, we set up a booth at the school canteen to pass more info to the students. We manned the booth from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm. Students and teachers visited our booth to provide feedback for the GW Assembly talk.


Mdm Teo Jo-hsuan, a teacher in Chung Cheng High, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for Sec 1 students on 30 Apr. This is the 8th year Chung Cheng High invited us to speak to their students.

On 30 Apr, Earth Society team reached Chung Cheng High at 7.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the Sec students from 8 am to 9 am. We left the school after the talk.

On 08 Apr, Earth Society team reached Concord Primary at 7.30 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the P1 to P6 students from 7.45 am to 8.15 am. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). Students listened attentively to the talk and participated actively in the Quiz after the talk.

On 23 Apr, Earth Society team reached Ai Tong School at 7.15 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the P5 and P6 students from 7.45 am to 8.10 am. We conducted another talk for the P3 and P4 students on 24 Apr, 7.40 am to 8.10 am. Students listened attentively to the talk and participated in the Quiz after the talk.

Assembly talk at Holy Innocents High and Juying Secondary (Apr)

Ms Tan Miow Qin, a teacher in Holy Innocents High, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort and set up a booth during the students’ recess on 18 Apr.

On 18 Apr, Earth Society team reached Holy Innocents High at 1.10 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the Sec 1 to Sec 5 students from 1.25 pm to 2 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). Students listened attentively to the talk and participated actively in the Quiz at the end of the talk.

After the talk, we set up a booth at the school canteen to pass more info to the students. We manned the booth from 2 pm to 3 pm. Many students visited our booth to provide feedback for the GW Assembly talk.

On 25 Apr, Earth Society team reached Juying Secondary at 1 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the Sec 1 to Sec 4 students from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm. After the talk, Mr Dayan Tan helped to compile some feedback from the teachers who attended the talk and emailed the feedback to us.

On 17 Apr, Earth Society team reached White Sands Primary at 8 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the P1 to P6 students from 8.15 am to 9 am.
Students listened to the talk and participated actively in the Quiz at the end of the talk. After the talk, we set up and manned a booth at the school canteen from 9 am to 11 am. Many students visited our booth to get more info and provided feedback for the Assembly talk.
