On 23 Apr, Earth Society volunteers set up a booth at SAJC canteen at 9.45 am.
At our booth, students may watch short video clips on
Climate change and environmental protection. We also displayed additional environmental
info on a Push-Pin Board. As the students read the info, they learnt about the amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emitted to produce different
types of food. They also learn about the amount of water needed to produce
different types of food.
We introduced Meatless Mondays as a way to reduce GHG and conserve the Food and Water resources on the planet. We also distributed Eco-website flyer and Climate Change booklet to students who are interested.
We manned the booth from
10 am to 12.30 pm.
We are glad that schools such as SAJC are actively engaging environmental NGOs to promote sustainable living to their students. We hope the students will adopt a eco-friendly way of life to reduce their carbon footprint and conserve the planet’s natural resources.
