Booth @ Central Clean and Green Sg NEA (Nov)


Ms Lee Jing, Senior Executive (3P Network Division), in National Environment Agency (NEA), invited Earth Society to participate in their Central Clean and Green Singapore Carnival in Nov. This is the 2nd year NEA invited us to participate in their event.

The Carnival was jointly organized by NEA and Central Singapore Community Development Council (CS CDC). This district-level carnival aims to educate the public on environmental issues such as anti-littering, energy efficiency, 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and Climate Action.

The Carnival was a 2 day event (16 to 17 Nov) held in City Square Mall at Farrer Park area. There were hands-on workshops, educational booths, stage performances/ talks at the event. The Guest of Honour for the event was Prof Yaacob Ibrahim, MP for Jalan Besar GRC. The host of the event was Ms Denise Phua, Mayor of Central Singapore District.



Earth society supported the event by setting up an educational booth at the event. Other organizations that participated in the event included: Just Love Crafts, Love Terrartum, Sprout Crafts and various primary school groups.

On 16 Nov, Earth Society volunteers set up a booth at the Clean and Green Carnival at 11.30 am. At our booth, we let the participants play a ‘GHG & Water usage’ Quiz. Participants learnt about the amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emitted to produce certain type of food as they completed the Quiz. They also learn about the amount of water needed to produce different types of food.

MP Prof Yaacob Ibrahim and Mayor Denise Phua visited our booth during the event. We have a short discussion on ways to reduce Climate change and we passed some Climate change booklets and Eco-leaflets to them.
We manned the booth from 11.30 am to 7.30 pm.

NEA organized many programs on the stage area throughout the 2-day event. There were Environmental skits, Acapella singing, Environmental talks and Quizzes on the stage. Earth Society conducted a Global Warming talk at the stage area from 3.50 pm to 4.10 pm. We presented on the effects of Global Warming on the planet and recommend ways to reduce Climate change (Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs).

We are glad that NEA and CDC are organizing more carnivals to promote Eco-living this year. We hope these carnivals will encourage Singaporeans to take more Climate Actions to protect the Earth and conserve the food and water resources on the planet.

Green and Healthy Festival @ Our Tampines Hub (Oct)


Kampung Senang invited Earth Society to participate in the Green and Healthy festival @ Our Tampines Hub on 20 Oct. This is the 3rd time Kampung Senang invited us to participate in their GHF event.

The Green and Healthy Festival seeks to create an awareness on the myriad of eco and positive lifestyle practices that a modern individual can adopt for our own health and to protect the planet.

The event features Eco-talks, Health talks, food cooking demonstration, music performance at the stage area. There are also educational booths, veggie food booths, farmers market for the family to enjoy.

Earth Society volunteers help to man a booth in the event from 10.30 am to 7 pm. We showed participants a video clip on Global Warming and distributed Eco-websites, Alternative-Living Flyers and Green and Healthy Monday flyers to participants.

Our volunteer put on the costume of a lamb and parade around with the Happy Cow Mascot to showcase the message of “No Meat, No Heat” in the event.

We also conduct a 15 mins talk on the stage area to promote Veggie Monday to reduce Climate change.

We congratulate Kampung Senang for a successful Green and Healthy Festival this year and wish more organizations will join in the Green movement to protect the planet.

Earth Awareness Week @ Facebook Singapore (Oct)


Ms Denise Fung, Admin officer in Facebook Culinary Team, invited Earth Society to participate in their Facebook Earth Awareness week (14 to 18 Oct) event. The event was spearheaded by Mr Michael Muller, the Head chef of Facebook Culinary team.

Mr Michael is well aware of the environmental degradation of our planet and the global health crisis. His vision is to introduce the health and environmental benefits of a vegetarian / vegan diet to the Facebook staffs. (1200 staffs)


Facebook has a Café (Cafe30) that serves food/drinks to their staffs. All Facebook staffs have the privilege to eat breakfast and lunch at the Café for free.

During the Earth Awareness week (14 to 18 Oct), 70% of the food served at Cafe30 are Vegetarian / Vegan! Facebook cooks and culinary staffs really worked hard to create many vegetarian /vegan versions of eastern and western food to offer the 1200 staffs during the week.

As part of the Earth Awareness week program, Facebook invited various Veg speakers to conduct talks for their staffs during the lunch hour every day in the week. Speakers included Mr Luke Tan (Vegan Strength Athlete/ personal Trainer), Mr Vikas Garg (CEO of Abillionveg), Ms Rebecca Cappelli (Director of Singapore Vegan Documentary “Let us be Heros”) and Mr Low CK (Vice-President of Earth Society).

During the Earth Awareness week, Facebook also invited various Veg companies and NGOs to set up booths at Cafe30 to educate the staffs on how to go plant based,
Booth vendors included Animal Allies, AbillionVeg, Green Monday, Quron, Kroodi, Tempeh Culture, Earth Society etc

Earth Society supported the Earth Awareness week by setting up and manning a booth in Cafe30 from 16 Oct to 18 Oct, 9 am to 3 pm daily. At our booth, we showed the participants a video clip on Climate change and distributed Eco-websites leaflets, ‘Green and Healthy Monday’ leaflets and Climate change booklets. We also set up an Exhibition Panel to showcase the Climate Crisis and encourage the participants to go Veg to reduce Green House gas and curb Climate change.



On 17 Oct, we conducted a Global Warming talk at the staff canteen. We presented on how Global Warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also engaged Facebook staffs with interactive Quizs during the presentation.

Earth Society volunteers are pleasantly surprised that there are lots of vegan options in Cafe30 during the Earth Awareness week. There are vegan pizzas, vegan chappatis, vegan fired rice, vegan chicken rice and even vegan ice-creams (non-dairy ice-creams) during the week. Our volunteers gladly enjoyed the delicious vegan food available and acknowledged Facebook as one of the most vegan-friendly company in Singapore. :>

We are glad that more companies are recognising the environmental and health benefits of the plant-based diet and are taking the initiative to promote the message to their staffs. We hope the plant-based movement will spread far and wide and encourage everyone to join in to bring Health to the people and usher in a Sustainable Future for the planet.

Assembly talk @ Yu Hua and Oprea Estate Primary (Oct/ Nov)

Mdm Jean Wong, a teacher in Yu Hua Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 10 Oct.

On 10 Oct, Earth Society team reached Yu Hua Primary at 12.45 pm. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for the P1 to P6 students from 1 pm to 1.30 pm. We presented on how Global Warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). The students and teachers listened attentively to the talk.

Mdm Manickam Sumathi, Lead Teacher (Science) in Oprea Estate Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 06 Nov.

On 06 Nov, Earth Society team reached Oprea Estate Primary at 7.15 am. Ms Lim Ching Ching escorted us to the school hall to prepare for the Assembly talk. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for the P1 to P6 students from 7.45 am to 8.15 pm. Students listened attentively to the talk and participated actively in the Quiz at the end of talk. After the talk,Ms Lim Ching Ching helped us to compile some feedbacks from the teachers and emailed us the feedbacks.

Company talk @ Swiss Re Asia and Energy Market Authority (Oct/ Nov)

Ms Norelle Neo, Human Resource officer in Swiss Re Asia Pte Ltd, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 09 Oct.

On 09 Oct, Earth Society team reached Swiss Re Asia at 2.45 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 30 staffs from 3 pm to 4 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage.

Swiss Re Asia staffs listened attentively to the talk. Many staffs came forward to provide some feedback after the presentation.

Ms Shaine Lim, Engineer in Energy Market Authority (EMA), invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 21 Nov to increase their awareness on Climate Change and environmental protection.

On 21 Nov, Earth Society team reached EMA at 12.15 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 40 staffs from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm. The staffs listened attentively to the talk. Many staffs came forward to get more info on Climate change after the talk.

Company talk @ Meiden Singapore and TMF Singapore (Sep)

Mr Lee Guan Chung from HSBC Bank invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for HSBC client (Meiden Singapore Pte Ltd) on 11 Sep.

On 11 Sep, Earth Society team reached Meiden Singapore Pte Ltd at 12 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 40 staffs from 12.10 pm to 1 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage.

Meiden Singapore staffs listened attentively to the talk. Many staffs came forward to provide feedback for the talk after the presentation.

Ms Hoh Wei Yin, Executive, Corporate Secretarial in TMF Singapore H Pte Ltd, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 27 Sep to increase their awareness on Climate Change and environmental protection.

On 27 Sep, Earth Society team reached TMF Singapore at 10.15 am. Mr Jacob Lim from TMF Social Committee escorted us to the event venue. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 100 staffs from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. The staffs listened attentively to the talk and provided some feedback after the talk.

Booth @ IMH (Sep)

Ms Chermain, a Green Committee member in Institute of Mental Health (IMH), invited Earth Society to set up a booth at their Eco-Festival held on 18 Sep. This is the first Eco-Festal IMH organized to raising awareness on what can we do to protect the environment.

IMH invited NGOs such as Earth Society, Nature Society, WWF, Better Trails to participate in this event. IMH also invited plant-based vendors such as 8Treasures and The Good Burger to promote plant-based food during the event.

On 18 Sep, Earth Society team arrived at IMH on 9.45 am. At our booth, we displayed a ‘GHG & Water usage’ Board. The people who visited our booth learnt about the amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emitted to produce certain types of food when they read the Board. We also distributed Eco-leaflets to people who passed by our booth and spoke to those who were interested in protecting the environment. We manned the booth from 10 am to 3.40 pm.

We are glad that the hospitals are getting on board to promote the Green message. We are delighted that IMH recognize plant-based diet as an Eco-friendly diet and even showcased plant-based food in this Eco-event.

GW talk @ Hearty Care Center (Sep)

Ms Tammy Tan, Assistant Centre Manager of Hearty Care Center, invited Earth Society to conduct a Global Warming talk for the students on 09 Sep.

On 09 Sep, Earth Society team reached Hearty Care Centre at 1.45 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 80 primary level students from 2 pm to 3 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs).

The students listened attentively to the talk and actively participated in the Quiz after the talk.

Company talk @ Fuji Xerox (Aug)

Ms Carrie Ho, Business Acquisition Manager in Citibank Singapore Limited, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their client, Fuji Xerox company, on 16 Aug.

On 16 Aug, Earth Society team arrived at Fuji Xerox at 11.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 50 staffs from 12 pm to 1 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage.

The staffs in Fuji Xerox listened attentively to the talk and came forward to provide some feedbacks after the talk.

Mr Dayan Tan, Subject Head (Humanities) in Juying Secondary, invited Earth Society to conduct a Classroom talk for 40 Nature Passion Module students on 29 Aug.

On 29 Aug, Earth Society team reached Juying Secondary at 12.15 pm. We conducted an Environmental talk for 40 students from 12.15 pm to 1 pm. We presented on Biodiversity loss, Climate change, Deforestation, United Nation’s “Planetary Health Diet” and Veggie Monday. The students listened attentively to the talk. Many students came forward to provide some feedback for us after the talk.

Booth @ PA National Day Dinner event (Jul)

Mr Richard Ang, Constituency Director (Bedok Reservoir-Punggol Constituency), invited Earth Society to set up a booth at their National Day Dinner event on 27 Jul. The National Day Dinner is organized by People’s Association and invited 1000 people to join in the Dinner. The Dinner was held at a large Dome-shape tentage area in the open field beside Hougang MRT. PA invited eco-organizations such as NEA, Earth Society and school groups such as Montfort Secondary, Damai Secondary to set up booths to promote Eco-messages during the event.

On 27 Jul, Earth Society team arrived at Hougang tentage area at 3.45 pm and set up a booth at 4 pm. At our booth, we showed a short video clip on Climate change and displayed a ‘GHG & Water usage’ Board. The people who visited our booth learnt about the amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emitted to produce certain types of food when they read the Board. We also distributed Eco-leaflets to people who passed by our booth and spoke to those who were interested in protecting the environment. We manned the booth from 4 pm to 9.30 pm

This is the first time we participated in a National Day Dinner event and we are glad that People’s Association is now promoting Eco-messages during their National Day Celebration events.

Company talks @ MSIG Insurance and BP Office (Jul)

Ms Carole Chow, Assistant Vice-President (Branding / Corporate Communications) in MSIG Insurance Pte Ltd, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 18 Jul. The event is held at Hong Leong Building.

On 18 Jul, Earth Society team reached Hong Leong Building at 12.15 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 40 staffs from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage.


At the end of the talk, Ms Carole Chow helped us to compile some feedbacks from their staffs and send to us via email. We received a total of 24 feedbacks from the staffs, making MSIG the company which provides the Most feedbacks for us! Many staffs also sign up on our email list to receive additional info from us.


Ms Alice Kok, Customer Service Officer in BP Office, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 25 Jul to increase their awareness on Climate Change and environmental protection.

On 25 Jul, Earth Society team reached BP Office at 1 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 50 staffs from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm. The staffs listened attentively to the talk. Ms Alice Kok helped to compile some feedback for us after the talk.

GW talk @ Global Citizenship Camp event (Jul)

Mr Anthony Lim, from Rest and Relax Holidays Pte Ltd (a travel agent specialize in Education tour), invited Earth Society to conduct a Global Warming talk at their Global Citizenship Camp event on 19 Jul. This is the 3rd time Rest and Relax Holidays invited us to speak to the students they hosted. The talk was held in Seng Kang Secondary School.

On 19 Jul, Earth Society team reached Seng Kang Secondary at 10.15 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 65 Taiwan/ Vietnam/ Singapore students from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). The students listened attentively to the talk and participated actively in the Quiz after the talk.

Company talks @ Bollore Logistics and Perkin Elmer (Jul)

Ms Agnes Chopin, CSR and Employee Engagement intern in Bollore Logistics, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs in Changi on 11 Jul. This is the 2nd talk we conducted for Bollore Logistics this year.

On 11 Jul, Earth Society team reached Bollore Logisitics Changi at 11.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 20 staffs from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage. At the end of the talk, many staffs came forward to provide feedback for the talk. 

Bollore Logisitics catered vegetarian lunch for their staffs during this event.




Mr Raihan, EHS Engineer from PerkinElmer Singapore, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 12 Jul. The talk was part of their Enivronment, Health and Safety (EHS) Day event. Mr Raihan hoped that our talk will
engage the staffs and raise awareness on climate change and environmental issues.

On 12 Jul, Earth Society team reached PerkinElmer Singapore at 9.30 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 40 staffs from 9.45 am to 10.45 am. The staffs listened attentively to the talk and provided some feedbacks after the talk.

After the talk, Earth Society team stayed behind to listen to a presentation by Zero Waste Singapore on Plastic pollution and reducing the use of disposables and plastic bags/ bottles. We left PerkinElmer Singapore at 12 pm.

We are glad that more and more companies are engaging NGOs to speak to their staffs about environmental protection during their EHS events. We hope that the environment movement will gain momentum and many people will become more Eco-conscious and take actions to protect the environment.
