GW talk @ Yuan Ching and Juying Secondary (Aug)

Mr Chen Zhan Jiang, SH Physics in Yuan Ching Secondary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the students on 23 Aug.

On 23 Aug, Earth Society team reached Yuan Ching Secondary at 11.30 am. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for Sec 4 and Sec 5 students from 11.45 am to 12.25 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). Students and teachers listened attentively to the talk.

Mr Dayan Tan, Subject Head (Humanities) in Juying Secondary, invited Earth Society to conduct a Classroom talk for 40 Nature Passion Module students on 29 Aug.

On 29 Aug, Earth Society team reached Juying Secondary at 12.15 pm. We conducted an Environmental talk for 40 students from 12.15 pm to 1 pm. We presented on Biodiversity loss, Climate change, Deforestation, United Nation’s “Planetary Health Diet” and Veggie Monday. The students listened attentively to the talk. Many students came forward to provide some feedback for us after the talk.

I like the interesting talk. I learn that reducing the amount of meat intake and increasing the amount of fruits and vegetable intake can reduce CO2 and save water.
