Company talk @ Carl Zeiss & Yamato Transport (Jun)

Ms Yuen Wai Leng, Regional Regulatory Affairs Manager in Carl Zeiss Pte Ltd, invited Earth Society to conduct a company talk for the staffs on 20 Jun.

On 20 Jun, Earth Society team reached Carl Zeiss Pte Ltd at 12.15 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 30 staffs from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm. Some Carl Zeiss overseas staff from Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia dialled in via internet to watch the talk online.

We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs).

Carl Zeiss staffs listened attentively to the talk. At the end of the talk, many staffs
signed up in our email list to get more info on Global Warming.

Mr Teng Tai Heng, Executive in Yamato Transport (S) Pte Ltd, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for the staffs on 27 Jun.

On 27 Jun, Earth Society team conducted a Global Warming talk for 25 staffs from 11 am to 12 pm. Yamato Transport staffs listened attentively to the talk. Many staffs came forward to provide encouraging feedback after the talk.

Assembly talk @ Chua Chu Kang Primary (May)


Ms Revathi, Science Level Head in Chua Chu Kang Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 21 May.

On 21 May, Earth Society team reached Chua Chu Kang Primary at 7.15 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the school cohort from 7.30 am to 8 am. We presented on how Global Warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs).
Ms Revathi help us to compile some feedback from the teachers and email to us after the talk.  



Teachers’ Feedback
1) Very informative. Very appropriate use of videos in between the presentations to sustain students attention. The presenter was very clear in articulating the facts. I had learnt a lot from the assembly talk. Thank you.

2) Very Informative. I did not know eating less meat is equal to less heat. Thank you so much for the sharing. Great Job!

3) Videos are interesting and engaging but presenter can slow down his presentation.

Assembly talks @ St Hilda’s and St Anthony’s Canossian Primary (Apr)


Mr. Mohammad Noh, Subject Head for VIA and Partnership in St Hilda’s Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct 2 Assembly talks for the school cohort on 19 Apr.

On 19 Apr, Earth Society team reached St Hilda’s Primary at 11 am. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for P1 to P3 students from 11.15 am to 11.45 am. We conducted another talk for P4 to P6 students from 12.15 pm to 12.45 pm. Teachers and students listened attentively to the talk.




Ms Ashley Mong, Science HOD of St Anthony's Canossian Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct 2 Assembly talks for the school cohort on 23 Apr.

On 23 Apr, Earth Society team reached St Anthony's Canossian Primary at 11 am. We were greeted by Mrs Lotus Koh who escorted us to the school hall for the Assembly talk. We conducted a Global Warming talk for P4 to P6 students from 11.15 am to 11.45 am. We conducted another talk for P1 to P3 students from 12.15 pm to 12.45 pm. Mrs Lotus Koh help us to compile some feedback from the teachers and email to us after the talk.

1) The seminar is very informative and educational.
2) The video clips are very entertaining yet very impactful and suitable for the students.
3) We learn a great deal about how consuming meat can do harm to the environment.
