On 18 Apr, Earth Society team
reached Holy Innocents High at 1.10 pm. We conducted a Global Warming talk for the
Sec 1 to Sec 5 students from 1.25 pm to 2 pm. We presented on the
effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that
scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat,
Green energy and 3Rs). Students listened attentively to the
talk and participated actively in the Quiz at the end of the talk.
After the talk, we set up a booth at
the school canteen to pass more info to the students. We manned the booth from 2
pm to 3 pm. Many students visited our booth to provide feedback for the GW Assembly talk.
Mr Dayan Tan Ying Peng, Subject Head (Humanities) in Juying Secondary,
invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 25
Apr.

Teachers’ Feedback
Compiled Feedback from
Juying Secondary Teachers:
- It was an
enlightening presentation, knowing the magnitude and scale of how disastrous
our actions have caused so much destruction. Thank you for sharing with us how
we could preserve our environment longer for our sake and for future
generations to enjoy.
- Excellent work! I
thought the speaker was very engaging and showed very pertinent examples. A
suggestion is maybe the speaker can just let the students watch the videos
without him speaking over it. Thanks!
- Very Enriching and
insightful. Students were all captivated by the presentation.
The talk is very
informative. Good to get the students to participate in Quiz.
