GW talk @ Swiss Cottage and Jurong Secondary (Jul)

Mdm Nuraida Sawi, Senior Teacher (Humanities) in Swiss Cottage Secondary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 03 Jul.

On 03 Jul, Earth Society team reached Swiss Cottage Secondary at 2.15 am. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for Sec 1 to Sec 5 students from 2.30 pm to 3 pm. We presented on how Global Warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). Students and teachers listened attentively to the talk.

Ms Calista Fang, NPCC teacher-in-charge in Jurong Secondary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Environmental Conservation talk for the NPCC cadets and Environment Club students on 04 Jul. This is the 2^nd year Jurong Secondary invited us to speak to their NPCC cadets/ Env Club students.

On 04 Jul, Earth Society team reached Jurong Secondary at 2.45 pm. We conducted an Environmental Conservation talk for 50 NPCC cadets and Environment Club students from 3 pm to 4 pm. We presented on Overfishing in our Oceans, Deforestation on our Land, Green House Gas emissions, World Hunger and Water Shortage. We also touched on issues such as No Shark fin, reduce Factory farming, Veggie days and Ways to save water.

Students listened attentively to the talk and participated actively in the Quiz at the end of the talk.
