Assembly talk @ Fernvale and Bedok Green Primary (Jul/ Aug)

Ms Soh Wei Ying, a teacher in Fernvale Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the upper primary students on 05 Jul. This is the 2nd time Fernvale Primary invited us to conduct a talk for their students.

On 05 Jul, Earth Society team reached Fernvale Primary at 7.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for P4 to P6 students from 8 am to 8.30 am. We presented on how Global warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). Teachers and students listened attentively to the talk.

Mdm Siti Sarah, Subject Head (Values in Action and Special Projects) in Bedok Green Primary, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 15 Aug.

On 15 Aug, Earth Society team reached Bedok Green Primary at 12.45 pm. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for P1 to P6 students from 1 pm to 1.30 am. We left the school after the talk.

Teachers’ Feedback:

The content of the talk is both informative and appeals to the upper primary students especially those who are learning humans impact on the environment. A lot of green ideas and environmental issues are presented and the speaker kept to his time limit well.  – Ng Chee Keong, Senior teacher, Bedok Green Primary

It was an enriching and educational presentation where teachers and students know the importance of ‘going green’ to save ‘Mother Earth’ from global warming and its detrimental effects if we don’t take any actions.
 – Mr Pasupathy Magaswaran, Teacher, Bedok Green Primary
