During the forum, we presented an overview of the UN IPCC Oct Special Report:: “Global Warming of 1.5 Deg C” and spoke of
the urgency to reduce green house gas to curb climate change. We recommended
climate actions such as reducing meat consumption, adopting veggie days to help
to reduce individual carbon footprint and preserve the food and water resources
on the planet. Mr Peter Godfrey spoke on reducing energy usage, renewable
energy and a circular economy to reduce climate change while Mr David Glass
spoke on Capitalism’s impact on Climate change. We had a fruitful discussion
with 30 people who attended the forum.
We are glad that Lasalle college has organized a Climate change
