Company talk @ Shell and IRAS (Aug)

Ms Tan Shi Yun, from Shell (Metropolis Tower), invited Earth Society to conduct a company talk for the staffs on 07 Aug. Her Department was running a campaign entitled :”A Better Life with a Healthier Planet”, which aims at raising the awareness of the staffs on Global Warming. She invited Earth Society to give a lunch talk to encourage and motivate her team mates to do more on reducing everyone’s carbon footprint collectively.

On 07 Aug, Earth Society team reached Shell (Metropolis Tower) at 11.30 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 20 staffs from 12 pm to 1.15 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs).

The staffs listened attentively to the talk. Ms Tan invited us to join in their veggie lunch at the end of the talk.

Ms Kwek Shi Yi, Investigator in IRAS, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for the staffs on 28 Aug. This is the 2nd year IRAS invited us to conduct a talk for their staffs.

On 28 Aug, Earth Society team conducted a Global Warming talk for 15 staffs from 12 pm to 1 pm. IRAS staffs listened attentively to the talk. After the talk, Ms Kwek helped us to compile some feedback from the staffs and send to us via email.

Feedback from Staffs:

Content and materials are good.    – Danny Kumar, BD Manager, Shell

Compiled feedback from IRAS:
- The talk was very well done! The trainer was really interesting and engaging. The videos shown were easily applicable and understandable.

- It is really shocking to find out how our diet is closely linked to Global warming when I have always thought that global warming is most linked to how we waste our natural resources like water wastage/electricity wastage/ increased use of plastics.

- Every individual needs to play a part to save the Earth.
