In conjunction with Earth Week, Ms Ng Run Ling from Gan Eng Seng
Primary invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk to the school cohort on
20 Apr.
On 20 Apr,
Earth Society team reached Gan Eng Seng Primary at 9.30 am. We set up a booth
at the school canteen during the students’ recesses from 9.30 to 11.05 am. We distributed
eco-website leaflets to students visiting our booth.
Ms Ng and Green committee
teachers also set up a booth to showcase cartoons on protecting the planet to
the students.
At 11.10am, we
proceed to the school hall to conduct the Assembly talk. We presented on the
effects of climate change on different parts of the world (Arctic ice melt,
Droughts, Floods, Sea level rise etc). We also showcased various solutions to
curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy, 3Rs). We showed
various animation clips to the students during the presentation. Students and
teachers enjoyed the presentation very much.
After the
Assembly talk, we left the school at 11.50 am.
