Assembly talk @ Global Indian International School and Canossa Convent Primary (May)

Ms Parameshwari, Primary coordinator of Global Indian International School, invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the primary students on 04 May. This is the 2nd year the school invited us to talk to their students.

On 04 May, Earth Society team reached Global Indian International School (Queensway) at 7.30 am. We conducted an Assembly talk on “Environment Conservation” from 9.45 am to 10.45 am. We presented on the situation of Overfishing in our Oceans, Deforestation on our Land, and Green house gas emissions in our Atmosphere. We also touched on issues such as biodiversity losses, factory farming, climate change and water shortage.

Students and teachers listened attentively to the talk and participated actively in the Quiz after the talk.

Teacher’s Feedback :

The presentation was informative and persuasive. It would develop the knowledge needed in all of us to address the current and emerging environmental issues. Ms Jennifer Kwek from Canossa Convent Primary invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 18 May.

On 18 May, Earth Society team reached Canossa Convent Primary at 7.55 am. Ms Joslyn Chew greeted us and escorted us to the school hall. We conducted a Global Warming Assembly talk for P1 to P6 students from 8.10 to 8.40 am. We presented on how Global warming is affecting the world and showcased various solutions to climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs.)

After the talk, we set up and man a booth in the school canteen from 8.45 am to 10.30 am.
